Personal Experience

In this paragraph I will tell of a small event in my life that had large consequences.

Four years ago, the price of gasoline sky-rocketed from a little over $2 to about $4 per gallon. My mother had been driving my sister and I to a place called Homesource in West Eugene two times a week. This was where I took classes in addition to my education at home. When this gas issue came up, my parents couldn't afford to drive my sister and I to Eugene that often because we lived in Cottage Grove. We started looking for closer education options and found the charter school coming to Cottage Grove called ACE (Academy for Character Education). I have been attending this charter school for my entire High School education. If the gas prices had not gone up that year, I would definitely still be going to Homesource, and my education would have taken a different path.

Interesting response, good choice of material. Remember to use "me" for direct object, not "I": My mother drove my sister and me....
